ROIX invites investors to invest in the expansion of technology education leader Robotikos akademija

Crowdfunding and co-investment platform ROIX has launched a new investment opportunity, inviting investors to participate in the financing of Public Institution ‘Robotikos akademija’. Operating for more than 13 years, the organization is Lithuania’s leading provider of non-formal technology education, educating more than 12,000 children annually across over 650 locations nationwide. It is also actively expanding internationally, with operations in Dublin and Chicago.

Through the ROIX platform, investors are offered the opportunity to finance a €500,000 loan intended to fund seasonal working capital, refinance part of the organization’s short-term debt, and support the continuation of its expansion in the U.S. market. The investment offers a fixed annual return of 10%, with interest paid quarterly over a 24-month term. The minimum investment amount is €500.

The project stands out not only because of the organization’s strong market position but also due to its conservative financing structure. The investment is secured by a pledge of 100% of the founders’ rights in Public Institution ‘Robotikos akademija’, while the loan-to-value (LTV) ratio stands at 32.1%.

“The technology education sector rarely appears on investment platforms — not because investors avoid it, but because there are very few organizations of this maturity in our region. ‘Robotikos akademija’ is an exception. Over the past four years, the organization has doubled its revenue from €1.9 million to €4.3 million without recording a single year of declining revenue. It holds a dominant position in Lithuania’s non-formal technology education market, while offering investors a double-digit return supported by an attractive collateral structure,” says ROIX founder Benas Poderis.

Investing in the Fast-Growing Future Skills Market

‘Robotikos akademija’ is Lithuania’s largest technology education organization, helping children develop creativity, logical thinking, technological skills, and problem-solving abilities for more than a decade. The organization offers extracurricular classes, camps, and educational programmes for children of all ages.

Its business model is built on recurring revenue. A significant share of income comes from recurring class subscriptions and advance registrations for summer camps, providing a high degree of revenue predictability. By early May, registrations for the 2026 summer camp season had already exceeded the previous year’s figures, reaching 1,625 registrations.

According to Evelina Burokė, CEO of ‘Robotikos akademija’, the organization has reached a stage where sustainable long-term growth and international expansion have become its top priorities.“I always say that if you want to go fast, go alone — but if you want to go far, you have to move forward together with your team, community, and partners. Today, ‘Robotikos akademija’ has reached the point where rapid growth is giving way to long-term ambitions: becoming a strategic partner not only for the education community but also for businesses and the Lithuanian economy.

Our core business follows the academic calendar. While summer is camp season, it is also the period when we recruit and train mentors, improve our educational content, and strengthen our systems in preparation for the new school year. This financing will allow us to cover seasonal working capital needs and ensure that summer becomes a launchpad for an even stronger season both in Lithuania and internationally,” says Burokė.

Continuing Expansion in the U.S. and Ireland

‘Robotikos akademija’ is currently expanding its operations in Dublin and Chicago, where it is testing new educational models, building strategic partnerships, and implementing advanced technology solutions. International expansion is important not only because it creates new growth opportunities, but also because it enables the organization to adopt cutting-edge educational practices and technologies more quickly and bring them back to Lithuania.

Part of the funds raised will be allocated to support international expansion. During the summer period, additional working capital will be used to further develop operations in the U.S., while another portion of the financing will be used to refinance short-term liabilities.

Why ROIX?

According to Burokė, partnering with ROIX represents much more than simply securing financing.

“Non-formal education is not a typical investment asset. ROIX stood out because they view capital not only as a tool for generating returns, but also as a way to contribute to meaningful change through innovation, education, and the country’s future. They believed that ‘Robotikos akademija’ could represent much more than an after-school programme — for investors as well.

It is also important to note that joining the ROIX platform is far from automatic. Every project undergoes a thorough evaluation process. Successfully passing that process serves as an additional confirmation, both for us and for potential investors, that ‘Robotikos akademija’ is not only a meaningful mission but also a professionally managed and financially sound organization.”

Strong Financial Performance and a Conservative Financing Structure

In 2025, ‘Robotikos akademija’ reported consolidated revenue of €4.3 million. Over the past four years, the organization’s revenue has more than doubled, increasing from €1.9 million in 2021 to more than €4.3 million in 2025.

Its core business in Lithuania generated approximately €433,000 in EBITDA in 2025, while consolidated EBITDA amounted to €336,000. According to ROIX, the lower consolidated result reflects investments made to support expansion in the U.S. and Ireland rather than any weakening of the organization’s core operations.

“This transaction reflects ROIX’s investment philosophy of financing organizations with strong and defensible market positions. ‘Robotikos akademija’s leadership in Lithuania is demonstrated by tangible results: more than 12,000 children educated annually, over 650 operating locations, and recognition as the first STEM.org-accredited organization in the Baltic States. Due to its international expansion and organizational structure, financing such a project through traditional channels can be challenging. This creates an opportunity for investors to earn attractive returns while benefiting from a conservative risk structure,” says Poderis.

ROIX Continues to Expand Investment Opportunities

Licensed by the Bank of Lithuania to operate across the European Union, ROIX provides investors with access to projects that are often available only to institutional or professional market participants.

Previous transactions on the platform include financing the acquisition of shares in EKSMA Optics, the consolidation project of Reiz Tech and CreditOnline, and the transformation financing of the PMC Group. Most recently, a prestigious residential development project in the Žvėrynas district, secured by real estate collateral, attracted strong investor demand and was successfully financed and syndicated through the ROIX platform, raising a total of €7.5 million.

The platform is operated by UAB ROIX, whose shareholders include Nter Asset Management partners Benas Poderis and Mantas Skipitis.
